A historic meeting place, the Watermelon Festival and historic sites are found in this small town of under 500 residents.

Great for reunions, weddings and receptions. Auditorium/Stage, adjacent park and shelter house. Funds donated by indivduals for renovation in 2002. Every man in town helped build this community house and picnic area. Available for rent.

Parade, crafts, softball tournament, entertainment, dinner and night street dance.

Monuments & Historical Sites

1904 Old Limestone Building
117 N. Randall
Served as Potwin's first bank. Now Potwin's public library containing over 5200 books, audio and video material.

1915 Vickers First Refinery
Anita St. and Kellogg St.
Closed in 1964 except for crude oil gathering.

Sink Hole

This hole, which appeared in 1937, is 58' deep, 250' long and 200' wide. Located along old Hwy. 196 and approximately 2 1/2 miles northwest of the old Vickers Oil Company's first refinery which closed in 1964.
