Augusta - In the Fall, take a visit back in time at the Yesteryear Fair or anytime at the Historical Museum.
Augusta - Attend a movie in the Historic Theatre. You can’t beat the price and ambience.
Beaumont – A drive to Beaumont is well worth your while to enjoy a meal at the historic hotel, view the wooden water tower across the road and wind farm just a few miles away.
Benton – Attend a Scott Hartley’s glassblowing demonstration. His art is displayed in 100 galleries throughout the U.S. and in private collections around the world.
Benton – If you like airplanes and food go to Stearman Field. Watch aircraft take off and land. Take a ride in a vintage open cockpit Bi-plane.
Benton – bison Make arrangements to attend a musical evening along with a delicious Chuckwagon meal at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Ranch.
Cassoday – Go the First Sunday of each month and take in the hundreds of motorcycles that have gathered.
Douglass – If you like to go back in time, spend TIME in the museum which has the most varied displays in Butler County.
El Dorado – Enter Walter’s Flowers and Interiors downtown El Dorado, for an experience that tickles your senses. The ambiance will leave you feeling like you’re in another country. Customers from all over the U.S. rate this a #1 must do.
El Dorado – A definite “must do” during October is a visit to a pumpkin patch like no other. Walter’s Pumpkin Patch, located 10 miles north of El Dorado, gives your family a day on the farm. Experience the Corn Maze, Haunted Cannery, Tunnel Slide and Pumpkin Pantry.
El Dorado – Watch the parade in November honoring our Veterans. Also visit the Freedom Memorial on the courthouse grounds.
El Dorado – Fishing, skiing, boating, camping, swimming, hiking and other outdoor activities can all happen at the El Dorado Lake and State Park. Rent a rustic or deluxe full amenities cabin. You can also rent the large outdoor amphitheater for a concert, wedding or other super activity.

Latham – A small town in the Southeast part of Butler County.
Potwin – Attend the Watermelon Festival, enjoy dinner and then kick up your heels at the street dance. Daytime activities are also on the agenda.
Rose Hill – This booming town is not lacking for celebrations. Take in their fabulous 4th of July Festival or their Fall Festival. Many, many fun activities for the family.

Towanda – Visit the hometown of Miss Kansas 2006! You might want to consider this in October during their Craft Festival.
Towanda – In the museum, see a model of the largest barn in the United States located in Butler County.
