Old Frisco Railroad Bridge

1 Mile E. of Stony Creek Rd. Along Hwy 400.

Along Hwy 400. The art deco, concrete reinforced bridge was built in 1935 for the Frisco Railroad and is located three miles west of Beaumont under the overpass of Hwy 400 and Gray Road.

Built in 1885 for Frisco Railroad steam engines, the water tower provided water in Beaumont for the railroad roundhouse and cattle shipping operation. It is the last remaining “Frisco Built Wooden” tower of it’s kind in the USA. A State and National Historic Site. One of the 8 Wonders of Butler County. windmills

Wind Farm

Cattle graze beneath 100 windmills that line the Kansas skyline near Beaumont. Although not accessible, the sight is a beautiful one to view as it generates clean energy and local economic benefits. Just 5 miles south of Beaumont off Highway 400.
